Sometimes you just need someone to talk to.

A Schaumburg Police Social Worker will be at the Township of Schaumburg this Thursday, September 3, from 11am-noon for free, one-on-one support. No appointment is needed, and your conversation is completely confidential and judgment-free.

Whether you’re dealing with housing concerns, financial challenges, family matters, grief and loss or another difficult situation, you can stop by and talk it through. The social worker can also connect you with local resources and support programs.

The social worker is at the Township every 1st Thursday of the month, so you can stop by whenever you need a little extra support.

FYI, community members! Election workers are needed for the November 3 General Election.

Election judges are paid $250 for the day and help greet voters, sign voters in and keep polling places running smoothly. Polling place technicians are paid $400 and assist with election supplies, equipment setup and maintenance in addition to election judge duties.

There are just two branch pick-up dates left for 2026! Unincorporated Schaumburg Township residents can put out brush for pickup on Monday, September 7 and Monday, September 21.

Gather your branches and have them ready for pickup. Remember, this service is for light tree pruning and trimming only. Contractor-generated brush and tree removal are not accepted.

At the July Township Board Meeting, we were proud to recognize Joseph P. Linsner as the newest veteran honored on our Veterans Honor Roll.

Mr. Linsner served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1970, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He served in Vietnam and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for his service.

His name, rank, branch and years of service will be permanently displayed on the Township’s Veterans Honor Roll Wall. We thank Mr. Linsner for his service, dedication and sacrifice.

From the February 2000 Town Crier: Schaumburg Township found plenty of ways to celebrate its Sesquicentennial year in 2000, including welcoming the newest members of the community.

The first baby born in Schaumburg Township was at 6:21am on January 1, 2000. As part of the Sesquicentennial celebration, the Township planned to give the first 150 babies born in Schaumburg Township that year a commemorative certificate and piggy bank.

🎉 Calling all bingo enthusiasts! We’re looking for a friendly, dependable volunteer to be our Thursday Bingo Caller!

No bingo-calling experience needed. We’ll provide the training. You’ll help call 13 games, operate a simple online bingo program and most importantly, help create a fun afternoon for local seniors and adults with disabilities.

Every Thursday | 12:45–2:30pm
