I haven’t posted for some time. We have been dark in June and July. Didn’t stop me from trying to improve the looks of our building. I planted some plants I front and trying to rehab our big flower box on the northeast corner of the building. Here are some pics. Not in any order.

Month of February has been busy!
We held our Annul Pancake & Sausage Supper on the 7th. Had a great turnout!!
On the 10th myself and 3 Great Bend Shrine Club members met at Hoisington Lincoln Elementary School to present the Fifth Grade Class with tickets and spending money so that they could attend the Friday the 14th session of the Isis Shine Circus in Salina KS. They left at 9:30am for the bus ride to Salina were treated to a hotdog meal by the Shriners before the Circus. The GB Shrine Club provided the students with $10.00 cash spending money. They were very excited and had a great time. They returned safely at 5:30 pm.
I would like to thank everyone involved - USD 431, Superintendant, teachers who went as chaparones, the bus drivers, the Great Bend Shrine Club and the Brothers of HML331 for all their support.

I have not posted for some time. It’s dues time of the year. I have included a line for donations for a bathroom remodel project. We discussed this in our May meeting before going dark for June and July. I’m happy to announce that the funding has come in from many brothers in the last two weeks. I want to thank all the brothers who have donated. I started the project last week with the help of WM Ron Bailey by picking up the vanities and plumbing supplies from Sutherland’s. I spent the next couple of days tearing out the old sinks & setting the vanities in place. I worked alone as it was cramped quarters for the most part. I did well until trying to hookup the drains. I had to call a plumber( Mason Plumbing). He made short work on the two drains. Here are some pics of this project.

On February 16th 2023 Hoisington 331 along with the Great Bend Shrine. Club sponsored the fifth grade students of Lincoln Elementary School in Hoisington on a trip to Salina KS to attend the Shrine Circus at Tony’s Pizza Events Center for the 2pm show. Sec. James Morris for the lodge and Ron Bailey presented the teachers and students with tickets and $10.00 cash for each student for spending money. Everyone was treated to a Hotdog meal prior to the Circus.
It was reported that a great time was had by all.
The picture was taken several days before the trip.
I would like to thank the teachers and drivers for their time. Also USD431 for allowing us to make this happen.

Our WM Ron Bailey made a couple of trips recently presenting Essay Certificates and checks to our local HS winners. Peyton Ryan of Central Plains HS was our local winner & also was Honorable mention at the State level ($500.00 state level and $100.00 lodge level). Bros. Mike Littrell and Ken Atteberry assisted.
Secretary Bro James Morris assisted the Master in presenting Landon Woydziak his check for $100.00 as the winner from Hoisington HS. There were no entrants from Ellinwood Hs this year.
