Hokes Bluff Public Library

Hokes Bluff Public Library Director: Alexandria Sims Williams Librarians: Tracy Griffith & Tracy Ann Pierce The library continued to operate in the Community Center until 2000.

The library opened in May 1990 in a small room located within the Hokes Bluff Lions Community Center. In the interim Etowah County, passed a one cent sales tax to fund the libraries within the county. The Etowah County Library Committee was formed to disperse the funds granted to them by this tax. With help of that Committee and the City of Hokes Bluff, the current building was constructed across from Hokes Bluff City Hall.

What a fantastic week at the library! You know we had fun because Ms. Alex forgot pictures at more than one of our programs… too busy enjoying the fun!! If you have any pictures of your time at HBPL or the fun you’ve gotten up to whilst searching for bingos, please share them below!

This week we enjoyed Lego Club, E-Sports, Picasso Puzzles, Bunco, and Rise Raptor Project!

We’ll be closed on Friday in observance of Juneteenth. Next week at HBPL, we’ll have E-Sports!, PJ Story Time + Library Buddy Sleepover & Lew-E’s Comedy Circus!! Details in the event pages 🎉📚🦖
