It is with deep regret that the Holbrook Fire Department announces that 16 year member, EMT Lawrence L. Klein has answered his last alarm. Larry will be surrounded by family and friends at a private burial service tomorrow at his wishes. Rest in peace, Larry.

This past weekend department members gathered on the Rosie out of Center Moriches for the 3rd annual Michael Barhold Memorial Fishing Trip. A good trip with a couple of keepers remembering a giant among men.

Earlier this week our department participated in a joint burn training alongside several of our neighboring mutual aid departments. Members worked residential and commercial fire evolutions as engine truck and RIT crews.

Yesterday Holbrook Volunteers had the incredibly unique opportunity to work with members from the Retiro Fire Department in Chile who were visiting the United States to learn more about the US Fire Service. Members spent the morning explaining local fire tactics, exchanged ideas, and broadening horizons on firefighting as a worldwide culture. Thank you RFD for spending your time with us! Stay safe!

Yesterday Holbrook Volunteers enjoyed marching in the 2026 Suffolk County Parade. HFD Won best appearing Fire Department with over 30 members in line. Thank you to the Bay Shore Fire Department for hosting a great day!
