Message from our Superintendent:

Welcome to the website for the Holbrook Unified School District (HUSD). The Governing Board and the entire District Staff are pleased and proud to present to you the many ways in which we Help Unique Students Develop to their best potential at every level of their education. HUSD takes pride in offering a high quality education to the students in our community. W

e have dedicated teachers, support staff, and administrators who are committed to the students. They work diligently to engage students in challenging learning opportunities. We know that working together strengthens our abilities and our students benefit. We welcome you and your ideas into our schools. We continuously look for ways in which we can improve and appreciate your help. We are especially proud of the diverse population we serve. Our students excel in many areas—academic, extra curricular, and in the community. We have many successful programs in place to broaden students’ learning and state of the art technology in classrooms to enhance teachers’ instructional methods to provide learning. In addition, we have many extracurricular activities to provide students opportunities to learn and grow outside the classroom setting. I take this opportunity to invite you to explore our schools through this website. All home volleyball games will be played at the Mike Starr Gym at Holbrook Junior High School until further notice.

We have an update for everyone who purchased tickets for last night’s postponed game!

🎟️ GoFan Tickets:
All tickets from last night have now been re-issued to your phone and returned to redeemable status. When you arrive at the gate tonight, we will simply re-redeem your ticket for entry.

💳 Purchased at the Box Office Last Night?
Your ticket will also be honored at the gate tonight. You do not need to purchase another ticket.

💰 NEED A REFUND?
If you are unable to attend tonight and need a refund, please complete the Google Form linked below. We will process eligible refunds through GoFan.

IMPORTANT: The email address you enter on the Google Form must match the original email address used to purchase your tickets.

🔄 CAN’T ATTEND? YOU CAN ALSO TRANSFER YOUR TICKETS!
Because tickets have been returned to redeemable status, you may transfer your tickets to someone else who would like to attend tonight rather than waiting for a refund.

As we prepare for tonight’s rescheduled game, here are a few important ticket reminders:

🎟️ Tickets from last night WILL be honored tonight. If you already purchased a ticket for the original game, you do not need to purchase another one.

🎟️ Need a ticket for tonight? New tickets may be purchased through GoFan or by card only. Please note that cash sales will not be available.

💳 Unable to attend tonight? If you purchased your ticket through GoFan and cannot attend the rescheduled game, you will need to request a refund directly through the GoFan app. Refunds typically take approximately 3–5 days to be credited back to the original card.

🚨 GAME UPDATE: WINSLOW VS. HOLBROOK 🚨

Due to weather conditions, tonight’s Winslow vs. Holbrook game has been POSTPONED.

We understand that this schedule change may prevent some fans from attending. We will be contacting GoFan to work through the refund process for those who are unable to attend Saturday’s game.

We appreciate everyone’s patience, flexibility, and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our athletes, coaches, staff, and fans.

⚡️⚡️⚡️The Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) adopts the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) safety guidelines for all outdoor high school sports.

Core Rules

When to Suspend Play: If thunder is heard or lightning is seen, play must be suspended immediately. Do not wait for rain or for a storm to be directly overhead.

Safe Shelter: All athletes, coaches, and spectators must clear the fields and go into a designated safe shelter—either a substantial, fully enclosed building with wiring/plumbing or a fully enclosed, hard-topped metal vehicle. Dugouts, open pavilions, and trees are not considered safe.

The 30-Minute Wait Period: Once play is suspended, everyone must wait a full 30 minutes after the last sound of thunder or flash of lightning before returning to the outdoor field.

Clock Reset: Every time a new lightning flash is observed or thunder is heard, the 30-minute timer completely restarts.

Decision & Authority

Game officials hold the primary authority to stop and resume play, consulting with athletic trainers and school administrators on site.

Prioritizing Safety:

AIA policy explicitly states that schedule pressures or the desire to finish a game should never outweigh the safety of players and fans.

Friendly CIB/CDIB Reminder! 🎒💙📋

If you haven't already, please make sure we have an updated copy of your student's CIB (Certificate of Indian Blood) or CDIB on file. 🦅 If your student doesn't have their own CIB or CDIB yet, we can happily accept a parent's copy to verify tribal enrollment!

While many families have this information listed on Infinite Campus from online registration, we still need an actual copy to verify the records properly. ✨

Why It Matters 📊
Program Funding: These copies are directly required for grant reporting to fund essential JOM and Title VI programs, including Navajo language classes, cultural activities, and student incentives. 🧵

Tribal Consultations: Tribes specifically ask how many students are enrolled with their respective nation.

Privacy & Security 🔒
Rest assured that all files are kept completely secure and only viewed when necessary.
