Holden Alert: On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, the Town's contractor, GEG Construction, will be installing new water hydrants and piping on Fairchild Drive. To complete this work, water service will be shut off from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for properties located within the blue-shaded area.

Customers in the area may experience discolored water during the shutdown and once water service is restored. If discoloration or air is noticed in the water, it is suggested that an outside spigot, the cold-water tub faucet, or similar fixture be run for a few minutes to flush out your service line. If you have any questions, please contact the Department of Public Works at 508-210-5550 or email at [email protected].

Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this work.

Wachusett RECC has recently received an uptick in 911 calls originating from the new call box located at the local parks and recreations

Emergency Call Boxes Are For Emergencies Only! The calls coming through the new call box are primarily being triggered by children playing with the equipment or individuals testing to see if the system works. Please do not test the call boxes. Using them for non-emergencies ties up critical dispatch resources.

These facilities are designed for everyone to enjoy specifically designated for town sports leagues and families. Please help keep the area safe and welcoming for all visitors.

This is a shared community resource. If you witness anyone vandalizing or misusing the park property or emergency equipment, please immediately report the activity to Holden MA Police Department
