Holden Community Garden This is the official page for the Holden Community Garden, which has a main garden site located at 175 Highland Street in Holden, Ma. x 18 ft..

Garden plots are open to residents for individual gardening and community gardening projects. Each Garden plot is 10 ft. The cost to rent the plots is $25/season, and includes open use of the land, water, and tools on hand. Often, free plants and seeds become available throughout the season. Ethical harvesting is encouraged. By this, the Holden Community Garden Committee has asked that each partic

ipant consider volunteering some time and/or extra harvest from their plot to be donated to community members in need.

The Holden Community Garden Volunteers working together to battle the knotw**d problem on the property. Sticking to the organic practice guidelines shared by our trusted sources at the New Hampshire Department of Agriculture (https://mm.nh.gov/files/uploads/agriculture/documents/japanese-knotw**d-bmps.pdf), our volunteers came together in the heat of July to tackle this invasive w**d before it becomes a bigger problem. The gardens all look fantastic, and the pollinator population is very happy to enjoy the efforts!

Thank you, volunteers! This was our largest spring cleanup crew yet! As we have expanded, so have our chores … we had a productive day w**ding, splitting perennials, sprucing walkways - and we even transplanted our baby peach tree🤗
