Endorsing the fair, efficient and timely administration of justice, local attorney Robert "Trey" Irby is running for Hughes County Associate District Judge. He is licensed in federal, state and multiple tribal courts, and has been practicing law for almost 15 years across various areas, including Department of Human Services deprived child cases, family, estates and probate, property, rural water,
criminal, Native American, contracts, and civil litigation. As a member of the Oklahoma Municipal Judge's Association, he previously served nine years as the Municipal Judge for the City of Holdenville, and he has served the Town of Calvin as Municipal Judge for 10 years. Irby, III, or "Trey," represents the third generation of Irbys to make Hughes County their home. He was adopted at seven days old by Dr. Bob and Carol Irby, Jr., has one brother, Daman Irby, and his grandparents are Allen and Joyce Puckett and Dr. Bob and Marvell Irby, Sr. Trey graduated from Holdenville High School in 1992, and he received his Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Theatre from Oklahoma City University in 1996. After college, he spent some time in Los Angeles, California working in film and television before beginning law school in 2000. He received his Juris Doctorate from the Oklahoma City University School of Law and became a licensed attorney in 2003. Trey has been married to Candice Irby for 14 years, and they have three children: Reagan, Scarlett and Daphne.
