How do you know if you need a tetanus shot?

If you haven't received one in the last 10 years or injured yourself and have not received one in the previous 7 years you are due! There is no harm in getting one sooner if you cannot remember the date of your last shot.

The health department is offering FREE TETANUS SHOTS to keep our community safe during our clean-up efforts following Saturday's Storm.

Location:
The old Riverside dealership
The corner of Hwy 270 and Hwy 48
9:30 am - 2 pm

We will also be sending out a strike team offering mobile vaccines as well open at the health department for our normal hours today and anyone is welcome to get one there!

We will keep the location updated should we move locations.

Road conditions in Hughes County are very slick and hazardous. For all you driving too fast for conditions, I'm sure we'll be seeing you. Stay home for a few more hours until they improve.

Admin phones are down at Central Dispatch. Sheriffs office number is still working and has been forwarded to dispatch so please call 405-712-6003 for non-emergency calls. 911 lines are working for emergency calls.

01/24/2023

The non-emergency lines at Central Dispatch are down (405-379-6627). 911 is still operational but that doesn’t mean tie up 911 with non emergency items. It means your non emergency items will just need to wait. So don’t call asking about the weather(it’s cold, and it’s going to snow), your neighbors loud music, that your internet is slow, dogs barking (dogs bark btw), your 5 day old toe pain, why is the power out (we don’t know) etc

All of those are actual calls that have been processed by central.
