We recovered a deceased dog from Hwy 183 by South Park. We are taking the dog to the Police Department for recovery for the owner. If you are missing your dog, please contact the Police Department.

In the past 24 hours this subject has been identified as using the same fictious name a year ago in a surrounding town, regarding another theft. Suspect was also contacted near McCook this morning, walking North out of town. This is the image of him today, which he provided another different fictious name. Local and surrounding community businesses, including hotels should be on alert of this subject. Contact local authorities of his presence.

Wanted for theft of services from local hotel. Please help to locate or identify and also to be aware.
Last seen walking towards Harlan County this morning and possibly hitchhiking south. Goes by the name of "Dusty Dalton" (possible fake name)

The first day of school is almost here! As students, parents, teachers, and staff return to our schools, we remind everyone to slow down, stay alert, and watch out for one another.

🚗 Drivers: Watch for children in school zones, obey speed limits, stop for school buses, and avoid distractions.

🚌 Be prepared for frequent stops and children crossing the roadway.

🚶 Parents and students: Use designated crosswalks, follow crossing signals, and stay aware of your surroundings.
Let’s work together to make sure everyone gets to and from school safely. A few extra seconds of caution can make a lifetime of difference.
