Requesting the public’s assistance in locating the owner of this young black lab that has wandered onto a property approximately 4 miles east of Funk along Hwy 6.

The ceremony will be on May 12th at 11 a.m. at Trinity Church in Holdrege.

This service is open to the public. We encourage you to bring your family and join us for a solemn time of reflection, remembrance, and gratitude for those officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice. "It is not how these officers died that made them heroes, it is how they lived."

⚠ CRITICAL FRAUD ALERT!

There is an increase of check washing fraud happening currently. Many checks being mailed to Discover card or payments going to Carol Stream, Illinois are being stolen to be washed and fraudulently cashed.

Check washing is when a check is stolen and washed with chemicals to remove your written ink, so the fraudster is able to rewrite the check to steal your money.
*Look at copies of cleared checks within online banking to be sure they appear as you originally wrote the check.
*Go digital by utilizing online bill pay or electronic payments directly through the company to avoid mail theft. Always be certain you are at a legitimate website
*As always, report fraud to your local bank and contact us to make a report. You should also report these situations to https://www.ic3.gov/ and https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/.

We assisted Loomis and Holdrege post prom the last couple of weekends. Along with Holdrege Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol.

Today at approximately 11:15 hours our deputies responded to Bertrand Viking Nation in reference to an Elf causing mischief. We were able to detain the Elf and assist the School. In all seriousness what a fun day for Bertrand Schools. We were happy to join the fun.
