How can I get involved? A ‘Serving Campaign’ is a great way to help pediatric cancer families while serving your community. Here’s how:
Seek a neighbor, friend, relative, or business and ask if they will sponsor you to do community service.
Then, decide on a task, for example: yard work, babysitting, cleaning up of beaches/parks, car washing, or running errands.
 Finally, have your
sponsor make the funds payable for the community service activity that you performed to K.I.D.S. Campaign, Inc. The money you raise will go toward helping pediatric cancer families in need. How can my business, group, or organization get involved? Businesses, groups, or organizations can organize a ‘Serving Campaign’ in many ways. Businesses may choose to help K.I.D.S. by sponsoring a Jeans Day, Hat Day, etc., and forwarding donations to K.I.D.S. This can be a fun team-building event that also assists pediatric cancer families in our communities. Groups and organizations can find a sponsor(s) for a community service project of their choice, such as: feed the homeless, clean-up of parks or beaches, neighborhood improvements, helping the elderly and/or disabled, etc. The sponsor(s) does not have to be the person or organization receiving the service work. Once the services are complete, the organizer of the ‘Serving Campaign’ will instruct the sponsor(s) to simply forward the funds to K.I.D.S. Campaign, Inc., to help pediatric cancer families in need. Please see our ‘Serving Campaign’ informational flyer for more details. K.I.D.S. is not responsible for any loss, damage, and/or injury incurred during or after any fundraising efforts on its behalf. Our Motto: 'Kids Helping Kids'
K.I.D.S. seeks to assist pediatric cancer families by:
1. To financially assist pediatric cancer patients/caregivers with their travel needs, and will consider other needs — other than the treatment itself — for those who are: currently in treatment; desiring to seek another medical opinion and/or course of treatment, including alternative treatment; patients who have a cancer recurrence or secondary cancer diagnosis; and consideration will also be given to those whose present treatment has not proven effective.
2. To facilitate the granting of an additional life-enriching experience or gift for individuals diagnosed with a childhood cancer who have a cancer recurrence or who develop a secondary cancer, or find themselves in an end-of-life situation.
3. To facilitate periodic celebrations in the Tampa Bay area, Florida, for pediatric cancer patients, their families and friends, and/or the community to recognize the completion of their cancer treatments. For pediatric cancer patients/caregivers who are not local to the Tampa Bay area, Florida, consideration will also be given to financially assist them, so that they can facilitate their own end of treatment celebration. Funds raised/donations received will be used to assist cancer-fighting families as described above. On August 19, 2014, K.I.D.S. received its 501 (c)(3) tax exempt status from the IRS. Sharing love while seeking to renew each other's hearts — great things will surely happen!
