This past week, our crews participated in Swift Water Rescue Training.

This hands-on training gives our emergency personnel the skills and knowledge needed to safely operate and execute rescues in fast-moving natural water and flood environments.

Just another valuable tool in the OTFD toolbox to help us provide the best possible service to our community and neighbors.

It’s almost that time of year when we’ll once again see school buses and children heading to and from school. Please be aware of some additions near Hamilton Middle School to further improve school traffic safety. Help keep everyone safe and pay attention at crossings and school bus stops!

🚸 As the new school year approaches, you’ll notice a new flashing school zone sign on 136th Avenue near Hamilton Middle School. When the lights are flashing, the speed limit is 25 MPH.

Tiny house, big knowledge.

OTFD crews took part in a training session on smoke and fire flow Thursday evening. Continually developing the skills and understanding needed for successful fire attacks keeps us ready to perform at our best.
