Good Samaritan Ministries is receiving an allocation of $767,898 in state coronavirus relief funds from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority to run a countywide eviction diversion program. The emergency eviction diversion program, announced by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on June 26, kicks in when the statewide moratorium on evictions ends after July 15. In Ottawa County the Holland Rescue Mission, Grand Haven Salvation Army and Resilience have put new protocols in place to keep their residents safe and healthy. The Community Action House Street Outreach team provides much needed supplies and resources to people living unsheltered.
