Open 10 am to 2 pm on Thursdays and third Saturdays of each month, from March thru December.

Looking for some Halloween fun? The museum director will be volunteering at the Eerie Manor House at Wildwood Metropark from 9 to 10:30 p.m. this evening. The home, as usual, will be hauntingly beautiful. And who knows, you may even see a ghost or two.

The Holland branch library, in conjunction with the Village of Holland, is hosting "Just for Kids" at Strawberry Acres Lodge. Parents of preschoolers are invited to visit the lodge every Thursday morning through Nov. 19 for storytime at 11 a.m. followed by playtime from 11:30 a.m. to noon. No registration is required, and the event is free.

The Lee R. Irons Historical Center is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p. m. today. This month we have an exhibit of memorabilia from the Holland Police Dept.

Individuals of all ages and abilities are invited to the fifth annual Lucas Developmental Disabilities, 1155 Larc Lane, Toledo for Trunk or Treat, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20 at the board's headquarters. There will be 40 trunks presented by staff, families, providers, and local businesse. They will be lined up and ready dish out treats to hundreds of trick-or-treaters .

Just a reminder. The Lee R. Irons Historical Center will be open on Saturday, Oct 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is not open on Thursday. This month's exhibit is from the Holland Police Department.

The Ohio Air National Guard’s 180th Fighter Wing is conducting nighttime training flights through Oct. 15, weather permitting. Area residents may see or hear F-16 fighter jets, including the use of flares, taking off and landing as late as 10 p.m.
Training flights normally take place during daylight hours, but F-16 pilots and maintenance personnel are required to conduct night operations as part of their overall readiness training. T

The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal train/car crash that cash occurred at 11:58 p.m., Oct.11, on
Albon Road near State Route 2 in Springfield Township.
A 2023 Ford Maverick, driven by Michael Jones, 57, of Monclova, Ohio, was southbound on Albon. A westbound train struck by Mr. Jones.
His vehicle overturned on the west side of the road, and he was pronounced deceased on scene. No one on the train was injured.
Mr. Jones was not wearing a seat belt, and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
The highway patrol was assisted at the scene by the Lucas County sheriff’s office, Holland Police Department, and Springfield Township Fire Department. The
roadway was closed for 5 hours.
The crash remains under investigation
