National Weather Service advising that increasing heat and humidity this week may cause the heat index to reach the mid 90s across portions of the Niagara Frontier, Genesee Valley, and northern Finger Lakes. The greatest confidence in reaching these values is on Thursday and Friday.

🌡️ Move to a cooler area.
🥤 Drink 24-32 ounces of water per hour.
👕 Wear light clothing & sunscreen.

🚨 MAY IS BLOOD PRESSURE AWARENESS MONTH 🚨

The Murray Joint Fire District is proud to partner with Big Guys Campground, Red Rock Ponds RV Resort, and Community Action of Orleans & Genesee to offer FREE Blood Pressure Clinics throughout the summer!

High blood pressure is often called the “silent killer” because many people have no symptoms at all. A quick blood pressure check can help identify problems early and encourage healthier living before a serious emergency happens.

The fire district and community partners are committed to more than emergency response — we are committed to prevention, education, and keeping our communities healthy and strong.

"Know Your Numbers!" It only takes a few minutes.

No appointments are needed. Just stop in during the times listed.

We just experienced how impactful and serious a heavy rain fall can get and the season isn’t over.

Firefighters responded to 29 incidents in a 24 hour period. Thank you to our members and partners for their help.

With high water levels and more expected rain, we are asking you be prepared.
