Earlier today, Truck 10 and Engine 10 responded to assist Lakemont station 15 with a Possible Building Fire at the Logan Valley Mall. Truck 10 set up to fly at the rear of the building, Engine 10 positioned to reverse lay if needed.

While enroute, 15 was also notified of a Motor Vehicle Accident on Frankstown Road. Engine 10 was ordered to break off from the fire scene and respond to assist with the MVA and shut the road down at Lake Ave. Engine 10 remained on scene until later released by Assistant 15.

Today (Tuesday August 25) from 3pm-12 midnight, and tomorrow (Wednesday August 26) from 7am to 2pm, the 300 block of Allegheny Street in Hollidaysburg will be closed to motor vehicle traffic due to essential utility work/roadway replacement. This block is near the Diamond.

Please be aware of all signage and take extra care in avoiding the area, for your safety and for the safety of the workers. Please also be aware that sidewalk foot traffic is temporarily affected in front of 312 Allegheny; the area to avoid is clearly marked. Thank you for your cooperation.

Yesterday evening, members participated in a kids and coffee event hosted by Home & Harvest. Members showed the kiddos around Truck 10, explaining the duties & different the equipment of the rig.

In the past week members have been handling community events, motor vehicle accidents and dwelling fires.

8/4 Motor vehicle crash on the 200 block of Broad street. Single vehicle into a power box off the roadway. Engine Rescue 10 and Engine 10 responded.

8/5 Dwelling fire Harvest view lane Blair township
Engine 10 and Truck 10 responded. Assistant 10-2 on scene with nothing showing and downgraded incoming apparatus. All companies placed in service a short time later unfounded no fire

8/7 09:28 Dwelling fire Schoenfelt st Freedom twp. Assist to Station 40. Engine 10 assisted with overhaul and later released by Chief 40

8/7 15:10 Dwelling fire 5th Avenue Duncansville. Odor inside structure.Assistant 20 on scene with normal conditions source determined to be a malfunctioning refrigerator.

8/9 700 block of Blair street. Wire down

This morning around 2am Station 10 was alerted to assist Station 50 with a working dwelling fire. Truck 10 and Engine 10 responded on the alarm. Crews were ordered to assist with fire attack and roof ventilation. Crews cleared the scene around 530 this morning.
