Just want to remind everyone that our Christmas 4 Kids program is in full swing here. We have received the applications back from our clients and are now looking for donors to adopt one or more children to buy a few things for them. This is generally some clothing items, toys, gift cards and/or a number of specific items the child may want, which is limited to a certain dollar amount.

If you would like to adopt a child or children for Christmas 4 Kids this year, please reach out to us on messenger, call the office (814-695-0762) or email Chris at [email protected].

If you've already reached out to me, I will be getting names to you very shortly. Thank you to all who will help make a child's Christmas just a little bit brighter and more joyful this year!!

Another reminder that the Giveaway is happening this Friday and Saturday at the Mary Fowler Building. We have lots of clothes and a few other odds and ends as well. Hope to see you there!!

Next clothing giveaway will happen Friday October 17th from 9-4 and Saturday October 18th from 9-12. It will take place at the Mary Fowler Nest located behind the house at 502 Mulberry Street.

So, there has been a lot of talk in the air recently about the Rapture or Christ's return happening today September 23, 2025. Here's the thing, the bible is very clear on who has knowledge of that information. Those 2 pieces of scripture will be what we focus on today. The bottom line is, could it happen today? Yes. Do I think it's going to happen today because a member of the clergy said it would? No, I do not.

You see, in Matthew and Mark it is very clear who knows the time and day of Christ's return. It's not the angels in Heaven. It's not even Christ himself. It certainly isn't any human being that has lived, is living or will live. The Gospel tells us no, not the angels, not the Son, only God the Father knows when Christ will return.

REPEAT: ONLY GOD THE FATHER KNOWS WHEN CHRIST WILL RETURN.

Maybe we should be less worried about who can predict the day and more worried about what will happen if we are on this earth when He returns. That should be our biggest concern. Even if Christ doesn't return today, you never know if this could be your last day. On September 11, 2001 thousands of people went on about their day not realizing it would be their last on this earth.

We can't know when Christ is returning. We don't know personally when our time on this earth will cease. All we can do is try and live our lives the way He taught us to. There's a lot of hate going on right now in our country. Start there. Start by stopping the spread of hate. Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.

When it's all said and done, I have a feeling the sun will rise again tomorrow the same as it has for many, many years. In the meantime, all we can do is try and live a life that is like that of Christ. That way when our number is called or Jesus does return, we'll have nothing to worry about. Hold your loved ones. Keep them safe. Don't let hate win out.

Glad I was able to share a message with Hollidaysburg C.O.B. For those of you who don't know, my ordination is actually in the Church of the Brethren. I have been attending the C.O.B. my whole life in the Western PA District and now here.

Don't forget, happening this Friday and Saturday. Lots of clothes and shoes to giveaway!!

The ARW will be having a clothing giveaway Friday August 22nd from 9-4 and Saturday August 23rd from 9-12. It will take place in the Mary Fowler Nest behind the house at 502 Mulberry Street. The Mary Fowler Nest faces Union Avenue and the prison. We have all different types and sizes of men's, women's and children's clothes.

PLEASE REMEMBER PARKING IN THE LOT ACROSS THE ALLEYWAY IS NOT PERMITTED. YOU WILL BE LIMITED TO STREET PARKING.
