Something mysterious is coming to Hollidaysburg this October...

Join us with Altoona Community Theatre for Sherlock Holmes: A Hollidaysburg Mystery — a one-of-a-kind production created in celebration of America's 250th anniversary! This engaging murder mystery experience brings Hollidaysburg's early 1800s history to life, blending local heritage, live theater, and community entertainment for a truly memorable evening.

Stop by Copyrite at the Diamond in Hollidaysburg to see the window display about Mary Cassatt. She was an American painter and printmaker renowned for her intimate portrayals of women and children in a domestic setting. Born in Pennsylvania, she spent much of her adult life in France, where she became closely associated with the Impressionist movement. Cassatt was one of only three women—and the only American—to exhibit with the French Impressionists, earning praise for her innovative use of color, light, and composition.

🎶 Congratulations, Maestro Nick Palmer! 🎶

After years of incredible musicianship and leadership, Maestro Nick Palmer is retiring from the Altoona Symphony Orchestra! To celebrate, A*O surprised him with a photo collage as a heartfelt thank you for all he's given to our community's music scene.

We're so grateful for A*O's partnership with Music in the Burg over the years, and for the joy Maestro Palmer has brought to our summer concert series. Congratulations on your retirement, and best of luck in your next adventure! 👏

The Altoona Symphony Orchestra is proud to be celebrating its 97th sea*on! This is an outstanding achievement in an era when many orchestras throughout the country cannot boast of such a history.

The Symphony has gained recognition for its musical diversity by performing both classical and popular works featuring talented local artists and nationally acclaimed musicians.

We are SO proud of the young artists who joined us for our Kids Art Camp last month!

From painting clay pots to exploring new techniques, these kids brought so much creativity, focus, and joy to every project. Watching their confidence grow session by session was the best part.
