Today we celebrate all of the incredible moms, grandmothers, stepmothers, foster moms, and mother figures who give so much of themselves every single day. Thank you for the love, support, encouragement, and countless hours you dedicate to your families and our community.

Whether you’re cheering from the sidelines, volunteering at events, helping with homework, packing snacks, or simply being there when your kids need you most, your impact never goes unnoticed.

National Photography Month is officially here, and we are looking to get started ASAP with our May adventures! 📸

Hollis Parks & Recreation is currently looking for used, working digital cameras for our kids to use throughout the month as they explore nature, community adventures, creativity, and photography.

Our goal is to give children the opportunity to capture the world through their own eyes while learning basic photography skills and documenting all of the incredible things they experience this May.

If you have an older digital camera sitting around that still works, we would love to put it to good use instead of letting it collect dust. Chargers, memory cards, camera bags, and accessories are also greatly appreciated if available.

Donations can be dropped off at the Hollis Parks & Recreation Department, or contact Chip at (207)298-3992 for pick up arrangements.

Thank you for always supporting our programs and helping us create meaningful experiences and memories for our kids and community!

🌧️ T-Ball Cancelled Today 🌧️

Due to the cold temperatures and rain showers and wet fields, T-Ball is cancelled for today.

We want to make sure our players stay safe and have the best experience possible, and today’s conditions just aren’t suitable for play.

We’ll be back at it next time—thank you for your understanding!

T-ball Kicks off at 9AM at the Hollis Sports Complex
Coach Pitch Kicks off at 10 AM at the same place!!!!

This is one of the best programs we offer—everyone participates, everyone improves.

🗓 Mondays & Fridays
⏰ 3PM–5PM
💲 $55 per participant

Kids will learn and compete in:

✔ Relays

🚨 IMPORTANT: We are CLOSED Monday (Patriots Day) — but once Tuesday hits, we’re off and running!

Here’s what the week looks like:

👉 Tuesday: Trip details coming soon (waiting on final confirmation—but it’ll be worth it)

⚾ Wednesday:
We’re headed to the Portland Sea Dogs vs. Hartford Yard Goats!
Afternoon game, ballpark experience, and time to check out the gift shop.

⛳🍦 Thursday:
Bus is loaded—we’re off to Sunny S**o!
Mini golf + ice cream at Martel’s opening week. Doesn’t get much better than that.

🌲🥾 Friday:
We wrap it up the right way—Maine State Park adventure
Hiking, exploring, and letting kids be kids outdoors.

This isn’t sitting inside on devices all week—this is real recreation, real experiences, and a week they’ll actually remember.

What an incredible morning!!! Huge thank you to Mr. Drew and His Animals Too for welcoming our group today. The kids had an unforgettable experience getting up close, learning, and making memories that will stick with them for a long time.
