Update: she has been reunited with her family.

This dog was found on Rocky Pond Road earlier this morning and is currently in our kennel. We are trying to reunite her with her owners.

NH 911 CARES allows you to associate certain chronic medical conditions with a phone number or numbers. A CARES entry provides immediate actionable information to a call-taker. If a registered number calls NH 911, the telecommunicator will have immediate access to the information that has been submitted for this number, informing how they process the call. PUBLIC NOTICE – LIVE FIRE TRAINING

Residents and motorists in the area of Silver Lake Road and Toddy Brook Road may notice increased fire department activity and smoke in the area today.

Hollis Fire Department crews will be conducting live fire training at this location until approximately 4:00 PM. This is a planned training exercise, and there is no emergency.

We appreciate the community’s awareness and cooperation while our members complete this important hands-on training.

A special thank you to Nashua Fire Rescue for providing coverage for the Town of Hollis while our crews participate in today’s training.

As students are headed back to school, keeping them safe should always be top-of-mind!

If you are driving near a school bus, remember these simple rules:

🟡 Yellow flashing lights mean that the bus is preparing to stop to load or unload children. Slow down and prepare to stop your vehicle.

🔴 Red flashing lights and extended stop arms mean that the bus has stopped and children are getting on or off. Stop your car and wait until the red lights stop flashing, the extended stop-arm is withdrawn, and the bus begins moving.

🚸 Even when lights aren’t flashing, watch for children, particularly in the morning or mid-afternoon, around school arrival and dismissal times. Be alert as you back out of a driveway or drive through a neighborhood, school zone, or bus stop.
