🚑 First Aid, CPR & AED Awareness Week 🚑

Emergencies can happen anytime, anywhere. Knowing how to provide first aid, perform CPR, and use an AED can help save a life while waiting for emergency responders to arrive.

This week serves as an important reminder that preparedness matters. Taking the time to learn these lifesaving skills can make a critical difference for a family member, friend, coworker, or member of our community.

On Wednesday we teamed up with the San Benito County Sheriff’s Department, Hollister Police Department and the San Benito County District Attorney’s Office to participate in the 2026 Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run.

It was so great seeing our community cheer us on as we made our way from Hollister PD to the San Benito County Court House.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run 2026 is being held this year on May 20, 2026, in San Benito County!

During this run the Special Olympics torch, the “Flame of Hope,” is escorted through our county symbolizing the dedication and commitment to our Special Olympics athletes. Every year, hundreds of Law Enforcement personnel, proudly known as the Guardians of the Flame, relay the Flame of Hope to highlight the amazing abilities of people with intellectual disabilities and support the free sports, health and leadership programs of Special Olympics Northern California.

The total running distance for our San Benito County law enforcement runners (from the San Benito County Sheriff's Office, Hollister Police Department, San Benito County District Attorney's Office and San Benito County Probation Department) will be 3.2 miles!
