Today is a bittersweet day for our department as Officer Alejandro Gaeta turns in his equipment and begins the next chapter of his career with another nearby law enforcement agency.

Over the past four years, Officer Gaeta has served our department and community in many different roles. He has worked patrol, served as a Field Training Officer (FTO), and worked as a detective.

His dedication, professionalism, and commitment to those around him were recognized by his peers when he was selected as our Officer of the Year in 2024.

While we are certainly sad to see him leave, we are proud of everything he has accomplished during his time with us. The impact he has made on our department, our community, and the officers he has worked alongside will not be forgotten.

Officer Gaeta, thank you for the over four years of service, dedication, hard work, and commitment. We wish you nothing but success in your new assignment and the next chapter of your career.

You will be missed, and you will always be a member of our extended law enforcement family.

Our own Officer Schneider was a special guest over at the Hills Book Store on San Benito Street.  She helped out with the Children’s Story Time and read a few books to a small group of children.

She then held a small Q&A session with the kids.   Check out the store's IG page (hillsbookstore) for posts about the event. We love the way our Officer Schneider stays involved with our community.
