Taney County Animal Control Our mission is to provide quality animal care and control services. Taney County assumed operations of Animal Control services for Taney County in Jan of 2018.

The Department operates the Animal Shelter located at 255 Critter Trail, in Hollister, Missouri with a six member staff of a Supervisor, Animal Control Officer and 4 kennel technicians. The ACO enforces all Taney County animal ordinances and responds to and investigates complaints in the unincorporated areas of Taney County.

Is there anyone out there? ANYONE?

Today, this little girl was thrown from a car near Galena.

Read that again.

Someone discarded her like she didn’t matter. And luckily, a kind soul saw what happened and has provided very temporary safety.

Despite what happened to her, she's sweet as can be. She is loving and pretty happy-go-lucky. And as of today, she has the cutest name that suits her. Her name is Jazzi.

Right now, Jazzi has nowhere to go. She was dumped in an area with no animal control, which means there is no shelter to call, no kennel waiting, no easy answer. The finder cannot keep her and is doing everything they can, but they are overwhelmed and running out of options.

So we are asking from the deepest part of our hearts…

Is there anyone out there who can help Jazzi?

Is there someone who knows what it feels like to be thrown away, let down, or discarded, who could look at this little girl and say, "You're safe with me."

We urgently need a foster home for Jazzi, someone willing to be her hero until we can figure out her next step.

We do not currently have an open foster for her, but we are trying to help because turning away from a dog who was literally thrown away feels impossible.
