🚑 Teamwork in Action 🚒

TCAD Paramedics recently worked together with Central Taney County Fire Protection District, Bradleyville Fire Department, and the U.S. Forest Service to successfully locate and rescue an injured hiker in the Mark Twain National Forest in eastern Taney County.

Supervisor Paramedic Tyler Hummer established a unified command post at Coy Bald Trailhead. Responding paramedics worked together with fire department personnel to navigate challenging terrain, coordinate search efforts, and provide critical medical care before safely extricating the patient from the remote location.

This mission is a great reminder of the dedication, training, and teamwork it takes to serve our community—no matter how tough the conditions.

When seconds count, teamwork makes all the difference. 🚑 🚒

TCAD Paramedics is proud to partner with Western Taney County Fire Protection District to provide emergency medical care to residents and visitors on Table Rock Lake. By utilizing the district’s fire boat, our paramedics can quickly reach patients in areas that may be difficult to access by land, helping ensure timely care when it’s needed most.

This partnership strengthens our ability to serve the community both on and off the water, enhancing emergency response capabilities across the lake.

Today, we pause to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Originally established as Decoration Day following the Civil War, this holiday was created to honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Families, friends, and fellow soldiers would gather to decorate graves with flowers and flags, remembering those who never made it home.

Over time, Memorial Day became a day to honor all American service members lost in war. While many spend the weekend with family, food, and celebration, it’s important that we never lose sight of the sacrifice that made those freedoms possible.

We also recognize that Memorial Day can be especially difficult for many veterans and military families who carry the weight of loss long after the wars have ended. Today is not about celebrating the living; it is about remembering those who never had the chance to come home.

From all of us at TCAD Paramedics, we remember the fallen, honor their sacrifice, and extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends, and brothers-in-arms they left behind. 🚑 🇺🇸
