🚑 Have you noticed a few extra paramedics around Branson this week?

That’s because our friends from across Missouri have come to Branson for the Missouri Emergency Medical Services Association (MEMSA) Conference!

Each year, the MEMSA Conference brings paramedics together for world-class training opportunities, continuing education, and presentations from EMS leaders and experts. It’s an opportunity for paramedics, EMTs, educators, administrators, and other EMS professionals to learn, share ideas, see the latest innovations, and bring new knowledge back to the communities they serve.

👀 And, of course, there’s some pretty cool equipment here, too! Here’s a sneak peek at some of the unique EMS apparatus visiting Branson this week.

🩸 Attending the MEMSA Conference this year? Make sure to stop by Wednesday or Thursday and donate blood with the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO)!

CBCO is the sole supplier of blood products to hospitals throughout Southwest Missouri, Northwest Arkansas, and Southeast Kansas—and they also provide the blood products carried by TCAD Paramedics for patients who need lifesaving transfusions before they ever reach the hospital.

A blood donation is a simple way to make a very real difference for patients right here in the communities we serve.

Welcome to Branson, MEMSA! 🚑❤️

Apparently our paramedics have officially made the big leagues! 😎 Huge thanks to the City of Forsyth for including our crews in their walk-up song video. While they may not be stepping up to home plate, they do step up every day for our community when it matters most.

We’re not saying they expect entrance music on every call now… but we’re also not saying they don’t. 🎶🚑

Thanks for the fun collaboration, City of Forsyth!

🚑 This weekend kept our TCAD Paramedics moving.

Over the course of the weekend, our paramedics responded to more than 100 calls for service. Some were life-threatening emergencies, some were multi-patient incidents, while others were less serious, but every patient received the same commitment, compassion, and professional care.

Pictured is one response where rapid transport to a regional trauma center was critical. They serve as a reminder that emergencies can happen at any time, and we’re honored to be there when our community needs us most.

As we head into another hot week, please remember that a Heat Advisory is in effect, with heat index values expected to exceed 100°F each day.

🌞 Stay hydrated.
🧢 Wear lightweight clothing and take frequent breaks if you’re working outdoors.
🚗 Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.
👵 Check on elderly neighbors, family members, and anyone who may be vulnerable to the heat.

💓 Hands-Only CPR Saves Lives! 💓

TCAD Paramedics recently had the opportunity to teach Hands-Only CPR to some of the new teachers at the Branson School District. We appreciate their commitment to learning this simple, life-saving skill that can make all the difference during a cardiac emergency.

Did you know? When someone suffers a sudden cardiac arrest, immediate Hands-Only CPR can double or even triple their chance of survival.

The best part? Hands-Only CPR classes are completely FREE!

If you or your organization would like to learn this life-saving skill, visit HollisterChamber.net to register for an upcoming class.

Together, we can build a community that’s prepared to save lives—because every second counts. ❤️🚑

☀️ EXTREME HEAT WARNING ☀️

As the sun rises over Taney County, another day of dangerous heat is already beginning.

An Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect across Southwest Missouri. High temperatures combined with elevated humidity can quickly become life-threatening, especially for older adults, young children, individuals with chronic medical conditions, and anyone spending extended time outdoors.

Stay ahead of the heat:
💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
🌳 Limit outdoor activity during the hottest hours, typically 10 AM–4 PM.
👕 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and protect yourself from the sun.
❄️ Take frequent breaks in air-conditioned or shaded areas.
🚗 Never leave children, older adults, or pets inside a parked vehicle—even for a moment.
❤️ Check on family, friends, and neighbors who may be more vulnerable to extreme heat.

Know the signs of heat-related illness:
⚠️ Heat Exhaustion: Heavy sweating, weakness, dizziness, headache, nausea, or fainting.
🚑 Heat Stroke: Hot, dry or damp skin, confusion, altered mental status, loss of consciousness, or a body temperature of 103°F or higher. Heat stroke is a medical emergency—call 911 immediately.

Our crews are ready to respond, but the best emergency is the one that never happens. Take precautions, look out for one another, and stay safe during this period of extreme heat.

🚑🩸 Every Drop. Every Call. Every Review.

Today, the TCAD Paramedics team came together for our Blood Products After Action Review—a collaborative debrief involving our Operations, Clinical, Management and Medical Director.

Since launching our prehospital blood program on June 1, 2026, we've deployed blood products to six patients. While each deployment represents a patient facing a critical life-threatening emergency, each also provides an opportunity to learn and improve.

Today's review examined every aspect of those responses from clinical decision-making and operational performance to logistics, communication, and patient outcomes. These conversations help ensure that every future patient benefits from the lessons learned today.

We believe continuous improvement is the cornerstone of exceptional medicine. Our commitment doesn't end when the call is over; it continues through honest review, teamwork, and an unwavering focus on providing the best possible care.

Because when lives are on the line, exceptional care is never optional. 🚑🩸
