Holy Week – Holy Thursday
The Kiss of Betrayal
In the Garden of Gethsemane, Judas came close to Jesus and greeted Him with a kiss — a sign that was meant to be love, but became betrayal.
Jesus did not run.
He did not hide.
He did not fight.
He stood in peace, because He knew that even betrayal was part of the path that would lead to the cross… and to our salvation.
Sometimes the deepest pain comes not from strangers, but from those closest to us.
And yet, Jesus chose love. He chose forgiveness. He chose to continue.
This moment reminds us that God is still in control, even in the moment of betrayal, pain, and darkness.
What looks like defeat is often the beginning of God’s greatest victory.
Have you ever been hurt by someone close to you, and what did you learn from it?
