We welcome the exhibit Art From Inside, a curated collection of artworks which have been sent to Prison Book Program by incarcerated people over the course of its 54 year history. It can be viewed in our Meeting Room starting this Saturday, May 9th. At noon Prison Book Program Executive Director Kelly Brotzman will illuminate how the phenomenon known as "mass incarceration" came to be, where the American prison system stands today, strategies for rehabilitation and recidivism prevention, and the importance of books and reading to incarcerated people.
