New England Water Works Association "A few people among the globe’s billions have been charged with the task of ensuring everyone else

Founded in 1882, the New England Water Works Association, Inc. (NEWWA) is the regional, independent, member-driven association that serves the drinking water profession across the six New England states (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, and VT). Headquartered in Holliston, Mass., we bring together water utilities, consultants, manufacturers, vendors, regulators, academia, and other interested parties to networ

k, educate, and advocate. NEWWA is a not-for-profit (501c3) member organization incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. We are accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training and hold hundreds of courses each year for those working in the water works profession. In addition, we host two major conferences and several specialty symposia annually. Built around networking, our strength is our membership who volunteer on our vast number of committees to produce products, information, and courses.

Fresh eyes. Bold ideas. Real momentum. 💧

NEWWA recently wrapped up a two-day strategic planning session with operators, engineers, utility leaders, commissioners, and association leadership all in the same room.

The conversations were honest, the energy was high, and the direction is clear. We are not just planning for the year ahead. We are building something that lasts.

The water industry deserves an association that moves with purpose, constantly evolving and innovating to better serve its members and communities.

Want to be part of it? Join NEWWA at newwa.org and help shape what comes next.

Stay tuned. The best is ahead.

What a day with our friends at RIWWA. 🌊

Our Joint July Membership Meeting kicked off with a tour of the Philip J. Holton Water Purification Works in Hope, RI before heading to the Guild in Pawtucket for an afternoon of great speakers, great conversations, and two very deserving scholarship recipients.

Sessions covered emerging contaminants including PFAS and Manganese, GIS-centric approaches to lead service line inventory, AMI program delivery, and water storage tank inspections. Something for everyone in the room.

Congratulations to the RIWWA scholarship recipients and thank you to everyone who joined us, presented, and made the day what it was.

We are already looking forward to the next one!
