Over the weekend, the Bentonia VFD suffered a great loss. A place that stood as a symbol of courage, sacrifice, and unwavering service to our community. The legacy of every firefighter who serves here will continue to inspire us all. Thank you for your selfless dedication, and for always being there when we need you most. We will rebuild—stronger, united, and more determined than ever.

“It burned to the ground... Yes, we lost our station but we built something together tonight something special. God is greater and He will allow us to build bigger and better!” “Don’t count the town of Bentonia out just yet!” - Captain Scotty Smith

This is what happens when you don’t dispose of fireworks correctly:

Do us a favor this holiday weekend, and ensure you keep water nearby to properly extinguish fireworks during your Independence Day celebrations.

Let’s have a safe holiday, Hopkinsville! 🇺🇸
