HAPPY LAST DAY OF SCHOOL SWA FAMILIES!
Our final Newsletter of the school year includes a recap of our Middle Schoolers' last day of school and this year's Senior Trip, a thank you to everyone who helped make Springfest Community Market, and information about selecting electives for next year. Senior trip! Many of our 12th grade students enjoyed the annual trip this past weekend. Students spent Friday at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Saturday included a day at Virginia Beach, Virginia playing in the water, eating, and shopping.

High School Elective Course Requests Selections are live and open. Students were emailed a notice to select options via Infinite Campus. Core class schedules will be based on graduation requirements and teacher recommendations from this school year. Elective classes will be based on requests made by you, using your Infinite Campus portal.

If your student will be returning as a 7th or 8th grader at Southern Wake Academy for the 2026-2027 School Year, please use this google form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe5mMvx-lRI13SprGAikMGslqzramdpjWnvncIESqId_LuWcw/viewform) to work with your student to make their elective course selections for the next school year.

We would kindly ask that the form be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday, May 26th.

We would like to extend an invitation for all of our parents and student athletes to attend a meeting at 2pm, TOMORROW, Thursday, May 21 in the MPR. This is an opportunity to meet and hear from our new Athletic Director, Mr. Larry Jones, and our new Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach, Mr. Larry Becker. We are excited to welcome these men to the SWA family and look forward to hearing about their experience and the goals they have for our school’s athletics program!

Yearbook updates!
-Middle School yearbooks are being distributed through Smartblock classes this week. Additional yearbooks will be available for $35 cash. Email [email protected]. They will also be available at 8th Grade Promotion on Thursday evening.

-High School yearbooks have arrived. Ms. Hogge is planning a “Student Pickup” get together Friday afternoon from 11:30am-2pm in the SWA gym. This window of time is for students to pick up the yearbook and sign with friends. Ability to pick up before then will depend on Ms. Hogge’s availability around the high school testing schedule. Additional HS yearbooks are available for $45 cash, or additional $2 fee for card payment.
