Controlling Dogfennel in Your Pastures!
This w**d is also commonly known as cedar w**d or cypress w**d. Dogfennel can become a perennial w**d. Usually in the first year you might see one stalk per plant, but the second year you can see several stalks coming from the same plant. If not controlled, it can grow over 6 ft tall. There are several herbicides to control it:
2,4-D+Dicamba
2,4-D+Picloram
2,4-D+Triclopyr
Cimarron Max
Dicamba
Surmount
Redeem R+P
Triclopyr

Keep in mind that drift from these herbicides can cause damage to row crops such as cotton, soybean, and peanuts. Pay attention to replanting restrictions as well as grazing and haying restrictions.
