Holly Township Parks & Recreation has several FREE, educational and family-friendly programs coming up this fall. Mark your calendars and join us!
🐝 CHILDREN’S BEE CLASS
📅 Saturday, September 19 | 1:00 p.m.
📍 Sorensen Park Nature Center
5142 E. Holly Rd., Holly, MI
Donna Boshell, President of the Northwest Oakland Bee Association, will introduce children to the fascinating world of bees! Kids will get to see bees inside a safe observation hive of wood and plexiglass (weather permitting), sample honey on ice cream and crackers, watch a video presentation, and participate in an art project.
⚠️ Pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 20 children, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
💧 PFAS AWARENESS WEEK PROGRAM
📅 Tuesday, September 22 | 6:00 p.m.
📍 Holly Township Library

Don Walsh, Vice-President of Stantec and President of Keepers of the Shiawassee River Trail Group, will discuss PFAS—what these man-made chemicals are, their health effects, and why they persist in our environment.
A representative from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services will also be available with literature and to answer questions.
🐦 BACKYARD BIRDS — A Program by Lee Burton

Bring the family and learn about our backyard birds—including winter visitors—their songs, what to feed them, and how to attract them to your yard. You’ll even pick up a few tips for keeping squirrels from hogging all the food!
🌳 All three programs are FREE and open to the public.
