Good Evening, Rose Pioneer Elementary Families,
We are so excited to begin a new school year. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wonderful Open House on Wednesday evening. It was so exciting to see our classrooms and the playground filled with smiling students and families, and we cannot wait to welcome all of our students back on Monday!
As we get ready for the first day, we would like to share a few important reminders about arrival and dismissal procedures. Your partnership in following these procedures helps us ensure that our arrival and dismissal is safe, smooth, and efficient for everyone.
Arrival:
Our doors open at 8:35 a.m. Students will have the opportunity to get breakfast and eat at this time. The instructional day will begin promptly at 8:50 a.m.
Car Line Procedures:
Morning Arrival
Please pull all the way around the loop to minimize the number of cars lined up on Milford Road. Students are not to exit the vehicle until a staff member is present. We will open the carline doors at 8:35 am. Carline doors will close at 8:50 am. Once a staff member is present, students may exit the vehicle from the passenger side (you do not need to wait for staff to open their car door). Once you have entered the designated drop-off area, your student(s) may begin exiting the vehicle. Caregivers will remain in the vehicle. Once you have dropped off your student(s) you may exit the loop by pulling into the left lane. We do not want students crossing in front of or behind vehicles to enter the school building. This is a very busy time/space, and small children can be easily missed by other drivers. *Blue dotted line*
Afternoon Dismissal
Our half-day dismissal to carline is at 11:54. Normal school carline dismissal is at 3:45. Caregivers using the carline, please be sure to pull all the way around to the small playground. Those who are using the car line to pick up their students are asked to stay in their cars and follow the line. Please remember that many families arrive at the same time, and young children can be difficult for drivers to see. We appreciate everyone’s patience and attention as we work together to keep all of our students, families, and staff safe. *Blue dotted line*
Helping Students Get Settled
Our teachers and staff will be available to assist any students who need help finding their classrooms or unpacking their materials. Visitors will not be permitted to access the hallways during arrival. With the large number of students entering the building at this time, we are unable to accommodate visitors during arrival. If you need to meet with a teacher or staff member, please make an appointment so we can give you the time and attention you deserve.
Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and partnership as we begin another wonderful school year. We are grateful for our Rose Pioneer families and look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and many exciting experiences for our students!

Monday, August 31st - 1st Day of School it is a half day with a 12:00pm dismissal
Friday, September 4th - No School
