Former 2 term governor of New Mexico and 2012 Presidential candiadte for the Libertarian Party, Gary Johnson, has just announced he will run again in 2016.

Refunds are in store for drivers who were caught on cameras running a red light.

"There's not enough people running red lights to pay for the program," said Michelle Bono, of the city of Tallahassee.

The $158 red light camera fine has annoyed plenty of drivers around the state. A city is opting out of the program and cities around the state aren't seeing the same amount of money coming in as they once did.

I meant to post this on Friday because the agenda was released so late.
This is what tomorrow's(6/23/15) motion on the agenda says for the Broward County Board of County Commissioners meeting:

"99.
MOTION TO DIRECT Office of the County Attorney to draft a proposed Ordinance making possession of up to 20 grams of cannabis (which constitutes a misdemeanor under Section 893.13(6)(b), Florida Statutes) a violation of the Broward County Code of Ordinances, and providing a civil penalty for such violation. (Vice Mayor Kiar)"

This has NOTHING to do with De-criminalization, they're just trying to follow what Miami did. Make no mistake this is a plot to get people to not want to vote for the next Medical Ma*****na Amendment in 2016. They are playing mind games, don't be fooled.
There are 100 items on the agenda and this is listed as number 99, why is that?

Now, to give a little bit of clarification of what this is. The commission wants to create a new ordinance and give permission to the county Attorney to draft it. This is the beginning of the process, there will probably be at least two more public hearings on this matter.
We must make our voices heard, every time there is a public meeting on this matter. Giving out a ticket(civil violation) is policing for profit. What happens if you decide not to pay the stupid ticket? Guess what? A warrant will probably be issued for your arrest. Now, we are back to square one, arresting people for victimless crimes.
The only solution is for Broward County, Florida to take a stance and no longer arrest or investigate individuals who use or possess ma*****na. That's real progress, little bit by little, we can and should End The Drug War!
The meeting is tomorrow at 10 AM, I have no idea when they will discuss item 99 but, be sure to be there from the start of the meeting so that YOUR VOICE can be heard. (Fair Warning: it might be a long meeting)Bring your ID because you might not be allowed in the building without it, which should be Un Constitutional but, that is another matter for another time.

Today is day that Thomas Jefferson was born, he was the principal author of the Declaration of Independence. A document that today has been translated and read all over the world and continues to inspire revolution. And while in his personal life, he was somewhat troubled, his philosophy and teachings were well ahead of it's time.
Today Jefferson is quoted by everyone from all walks of life and all political ideologies. And that's worth celebrating.

We oppose the ever growing surveillance state here in Florida. So, it would be great to see something similar to this right here in Florida.

The Libertarian Party endorses the Surveillance State Repeal Act (H.R. 1466) intro by Rep Mark Pocan (D-WI), which would substantially scale back the surveillance apparatus of the U.S. government.

We here at O For Liberty applaud and support Adrian Wyllie's effort in fighting a law here in the state of Florida that is unconstitutional. The goal here at OFL in due time, is to be able to join the fight with anyone such as Mr. Wyllie. Wether it be financially, in the courts or otherwise, those whom seek to correct any injustice and/or violation of anyone's natural rights here in the state of Florida.

We here at O For Liberty find all "check" point's to be an Un constitutional violation of the 4th and 5th amendments of the Bill of Rights. As well as, a violation of Article 1, section 23 of the FL Constitution.

This "fair DUI" idea is a good one and we will promote it by printing out these cards with a holder for your insurance card and license. Where ever we go in Florida we will be sure to pass them out for free.

However, make no mistake, we will not rest until these "check" points stop.
