Holmdel Fire Rescue Company #2 would like to thank Eagle Scout candidate Jeremy Dulow of Troop 131 for his generous $2,800 donation to the fire company and outstanding service project benefiting the Holmdel community.

Jeremy recently led a neighborhood-wide initiative painting highly visible house numbers on residential curbs to help first responders quickly identify homes during emergencies. His project will have a lasting impact on the safety of our community for years to come.

Jeremy’s connection to our company runs deep, as his father, Jason, is a past member and former President of HFRC #2. We are proud to see the continued dedication to community service carried on through the next generation.

Thank you, Jeremy, for your hard work, leadership, and commitment to serving others. Congratulations and best of luck on your journey to earning the rank of Eagle Scout.

On Tuesday night, members of Holmdel Fire Rescue Company #2 took a trip to the Monmouth County Fire Academy to participate in a series of live burn training evolutions.

Throughout the evening, members were able to train in realistic fireground conditions while practicing a variety of firefighting skills and techniques, including hose line advancement, communication, teamwork, fire attack, and overall situational awareness under live fire conditions.

Live fire training remains one of the most important aspects of firefighter development, allowing members to build confidence, strengthen decision-making skills, and reinforce the fundamentals of firefighting in a controlled environment.

Holmdel Fire Rescue Company #2 would like to thank the instructors and staff at the Monmouth County Fire Academy for making this training possible.

Yesterday afternoon, Holmdel Fire & Rescue Company #2 had the pleasure of welcoming Holmdel’s Girl Scout Daisy Troop for a fun and educational tour of the firehouse. The scouts had the opportunity to meet our firefighters, explore the apparatus, and learn about fire safety and emergency response in an interactive way.

Throughout the visit, members of the department demonstrated equipment, explained how we respond to emergencies, and answered questions from the group. It was a great opportunity to engage with the community and inspire the next generation about the importance of fire safety and public service.

We appreciate the Daisy Troop for stopping by and hope they enjoyed their visit as much as we enjoyed having them!

Last night, HFRC2 conducted an air management drill. Members played dodgeball in full turnout gear while breathing from a self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). Exertion while wearing over 50 lbs of equipment improves air management discipline, breathing techniques, builds physical conditioning and endurance.

On Tuesday, HFRC2 welcomed Holmdel Girl Scout Troop 61129 for a tour and fire safety demo.
