🚨 HONORING OUR PAST, EMBRACING OUR TRADITION 🚨

Today, the Holmen Area Fire Department is proud to share a major milestone: the transition from our old patch (left) to our newly redesigned emblem (right).

Our previous patch served us faithfully for years, representing countless calls answered and the proud legacy of our members. As we look to the future, we have simplified our look to center entirely around the traditional Maltese Cross.

For centuries, this timeless design has stood as an international symbol of protection, courage, and sacrifice. By returning to this classic emblem featuring our established year of 1921, we reaffirm our promise to the Holmen Area and honor the ultimate values of our profession: Integrity, Duty, and Honor.

Over the coming weeks, you will see our personnel transitioning to the new patch on their uniforms. The threads may be new, but our dedication, heart, and service remain exactly the same.

🚒 Station Update

The Holmen Area Fire Department is pleased to announce that emergency repair work and mold mitigation at the fire station has been successfully completed. Effective today, firefighters have returned to living and working in the station.

This project was necessary to address environmental conditions that posed health risks and to ensure our personnel have a safe and healthy workplace. The health and safety of our firefighters is essential to maintaining the high level of service our community expects and deserves.

We appreciate the patience, understanding, and support shown by our residents throughout this process.

We wanted to share a quick update on our station.

The mold remediation project is nearing completion. The mold has been removed, damaged walls have been replaced, and the roof repairs have been completed. We are grateful to everyone who helped complete this necessary repair and for the commitment to providing a safe and healthy workplace for our firefighters.

These repairs were essential to our firefighters' health and safety, but they do not change the reality of our facility. Our fire station is nearly 50 years old and was originally built as a metal building to house a volunteer fire department. Today, it serves as a fully staffed fire station with firefighters on duty 24 hours a day, responding to a steadily increasing number of emergencies throughout Holmen and the Town of Holland.

The need for a modern fire station remains. As our communities continue to grow, we must ensure our firefighters have a safe and healthy environment to work, train, and prepare while providing the highest level of emergency service to the people we serve. We appreciate the continued collaboration between the Village of Holmen and the Town of Holland as they work toward a long-term solution that will provide a modern facility capable of supporting our firefighters and serving our communities for generations to come.
