JASO/ Community Watch

JASO/ Community Watch Jackson County Community watch starts getting active. We are kicking off JASO (Joint Association Serving Others).

Bringing community and law enforcement together, for a brighter future. Making sure that working together is easy and allowing a platform for concerns and suggestions to be shared in an open forum; where the community can learn from its law enforcement & law enforcement can learn from its community.

Today's the day folks. I hope to see you at the first Jackson County community watch meeting, in the basement of the Holton Police Department at 6:30 pm. Thank you to those who shared this post, thanks to those who are planning on showing up, and thanks to those who are paying attention in our community, to help make it better.

Please circulate as much as possible.

Please, if somebody is contacting you saying you have warrants, telling you you can get a loan, or saying that they need any personal information in order to get you some kind of money, do not do it. Unfortunately, these phone scammers are praying on folks who trust that the person on the other end, is who they say they are. If you have parents, who are not on Facebook or cannot get warnings from the community watch, please make contact with them and tell them never to give out personal information and never to send money to anybody claiming to be law enforcement.

Remember, the community watch meeting will be Monday, June 6, 2016 at 6:30 PM in the basement at the Holton Police Department. If you know of anybody that would benefit from instruction on how to avoid scams and other pertinent information to avoid being a victim, please, tell them about this meeting or get them in touch with me, so I can share the other meeting times and places.

Please share this message as much as you can.

Thank you.

Just to keep everyone up to date, I am currently working with chief Gakle on a meeting on the 6th of June. This will be the inaugural meeting and there will be a tentative schedule about the rest of the meetings, for the rest of the year.

I will be starting in all the cities that have police officers, Holton, Hoyt, and Mayetta, so their Officers can attend the meeting, address concerns, and answer questions, about any city issues. Keep connected and lets keep working together. I have already spoken to a few people and it is great to be able to help. It does not bother me to receive a phone call, so please do not ever feel that way.

Please pass all information on this page to those who might not be on facebook. I will have the first meeting information soon. I would like to invite all members of the Jackson County Community to share in working together to bridge communication between Law enforcement and the community. If you know someone, that does not have facebook, they are welcome to call me for details.
