This week, we're proud to introduce **Matthew Esh**!

❤️ **What inspired you to join Rawlinsville Fire Company?**
The opportunity to help people when they're having one of the worst days of their lives. I've always had a lot of respect for firefighters and the brotherhood that comes with being part of the fire service.
🏡 **Favorite part of serving the Rawlinsville community:**
It's never boring at Rawlinsville! The wide variety of calls we respond to and the different situations we're able to handle make serving our community both challenging and rewarding.
🚨 **Most memorable experience with the fire company:**
Being inside a burning building where visibility was so poor I couldn't even see my own face mask is something I'll never forget. I also enjoy being on the river and having the opportunity to serve as part of the water rescue team.
👨👩👧👦 **About Me:**
When I'm not volunteering with Rawlinsville Fire Company, I work as a Project Manager at Luxscapes Unlimited. I really enjoy working alongside my brother and coworkers and being there for each other whenever someone needs a hand.
Outside of work and the firehouse, I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially hunting, hiking, and just about anything that gets me out into nature.
🎉 **Fun Fact:**
During the month of September, I'm usually nowhere to be found except in the mountains of Colorado, enjoying God's great outdoors and chasing elk, mule deer, and bear.
💬 **What being a member of Rawlinsville Fire Company means to me:**
Being part of this team is a privilege. Having a place where teamwork and dedication are so strong, while providing an important service to our community, is something I will always consider an honor.
