October is Sight Month and the Holyoke Lion's Club would like to remind anyone that has eye glasses that they'd like to donate of our two drop off locations in Holyoke.

Eye glasses can be dropped off at the Mower Man on Interocean and Gordon or at our Lion's Club drop box at 125 N Campbell Ave.

Summer Little League and Softball have been in full swing. The Lion's Club is so very proud to operate our concession stand at the Holyoke Baseball field in support of all the talented young players and their families!

This year we've broken records in the sale of burgers, hot dogs, beverages, and snacks! The sale of which help fund our club's service efforts. Here are some photos of our volunteers in action, we thank them so much for their service!

2026 has been a great year for our Lion's Club's County Fair activities! The newly placed concessions shelter at the fairgrounds has been a huge hit and replaced the previous shelter that had been in use for countless years. We'd like to thank the Phillips County Recreation Board and the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) for assisting with funding for the structure.

On Family Day of the Fair, the Holyoke Lions placed approximately 75 flags and organized the parade line up. Leo the Lion was in attendance as our volunteers joined in the parade in our golf cards and tossed candy to all of the kids. The Lions are proud to have been lining up the parade in Phillips County since 1989!

We'd like to thank all of our hard-working volunteers and members of our community for a fantastic fair this year!

Have you been to the Lions Club Fishin' Hole yet? It was originally built in 1991 and opened in October 1991. Major renovations occurred in 2018. Come out this summer and cast your line (just don't forget your fishing license). Thank you to the Fetzer Family for these great photos!

Our meeting on June 25th was all about recognizing some of our Lions for their dedicated service and electing new officers to continue to lead our club.

We would like to recognize Helen Miller as our Lion of the Year, and award both Bob Malesich and Bill Heltenberg with Certificates of Appreciation! Thank you all!

We are also pleased to announce the passing of the Presidential gavel from Mark Meusborn to Harry Kinner. Thank you, Mark, for your leadership and thank you, Harry, for stepping into the role.
