Have you been to the Lions Club Fishin' Hole yet? It was originally built in 1991 and opened in October 1991. Major renovations occurred in 2018. Come out this summer and cast your line (just don't forget your fishing license). Thank you to the Fetzer Family for these great photos!

Our meeting on June 25th was all about recognizing some of our Lions for their dedicated service and electing new officers to continue to lead our club.

We would like to recognize Helen Miller as our Lion of the Year, and award both Bob Malesich and Bill Heltenberg with Certificates of Appreciation! Thank you all!

We are also pleased to announce the passing of the Presidential gavel from Mark Meusborn to Harry Kinner. Thank you, Mark, for your leadership and thank you, Harry, for stepping into the role.

Since April 2016, the Lions have teamed up with the Haxtun Conservation District to recognize Arbor Day with 4th Graders. The students learned the importance of trees, and how to plant and care for them. This year, Rocky Mountain Juniper seedlings were distributed. Helping were Lions, Gayla Mayden, Patricia Farnes, Mary Tomky, Kathy Browning, and our biggest hit, Leo the Lion!

Mary Tomky - 40 Years - Current Secretary, and serving on the Childhood Cancer and Medical Cares Committees.

Helen Miller - 15 Years - Serving on the Bingo and Concession Stand Committees.

Gayla Mayden - 10 Years - Serving on the Youth and Pill Bottles Committees.
