UPDATE: PIONEER WILL BE OPENING THIS MORNING. THERE ARE WORKERS IN THE AREA AND THE ROADBED IS GRAVEL. REDUCED SPEED AND ATTENTIVE DRIVING WILL BE YOUR FRIENDS.

As some of you have learned this morning, both Industrial rd and Pioneer rd are closed for eastbound access from Highway 95. You will have go to Market to Jumpcreek and follow Jumpcreek around to Industrial rd. It will add about 7 minutes to your commute. We are just the messenger, pleas use all fingers when waiving at us.

🚔📚 BACK TO SCHOOL, HOMEDALE! 📚🚔

School is almost back in session! As our students head back to class on August 18th, SRO Officer Llamas and the Homedale Police Department want to remind parents and drivers to help us keep everyone safe and traffic moving smoothly.

Please slow down, obey all traffic laws, and check—and DOUBLE CHECK—crosswalks for pedestrians. Remember, those pedestrians are our students! ❤️

🚸 Elementary School Traffic: Please be patient during drop-off and pick-up and follow the traffic flow. A little patience from everyone makes mornings and afternoons safer and smoother.

🚧 Crosswalk Improvements: Homedale Public Works will be redoing the current crosswalks and adding a new crosswalk on Johnston Road near the Middle School. Keep an eye out for those fresh markings and students crossing.

🚌 School Bus Reminder: Please be patient with our bus drivers! When a school bus is loading or unloading students and that STOP sign is out—you STOP. Give our buses and students the space and time they need to safely get where they’re going.

Officer Llamas did a lot of educational traffic stops last school year 😉 and you guys proved to be pretty fast learners! Let’s keep up the good work this year and make safety around our schools a priority.

Up coming road work!! Please read and be patient we are all in this together.

Homedale, bridge repairs are underway on the U.S. 95 Snake River Bridge.

Beginning Monday, traffic will be reduced to one lane with a temporary signal controlling traffic. The northbound lane will close first, with traffic expected to shift later this month as crews move to the other side.

During construction, the open lane will be restricted to 12 feet. Wide loads should use an alternate route.

This work is part of ITD’s ongoing bridge preservation program, helping address routine maintenance needs and extend the life of existing bridges. Work is expected to continue through early September.

Donations for the firefighters can be dropped off at city hall durring business hours. HPD, HFD will coordinate to get the donations to the fire.

UPDATE: DUE TO OVERWHELMING SUPPORT, PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANYMORE DONATIONS. Leadership in Jordon Valley says they have more than they can use now, but expressed sincere apprecation to all of you that have donated.
