Georgia is ranked 39th in the nation in child and family well-being in the 2026 KIDS COUNT Data Book, released today by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. Georgia has not been among the bottom 10 states since 2017—but recent progress has stalled. The state’s challenges are most evident in health outcomes, where Georgia fell six places to 45th, even as economic well-being improved two spots to 34th. Banks County Family Connection remains committed "For All Banks County Children To Have What They Need To Succeed In School and Thrive in Life."
