Summer Reading Registration begins today! We encourage all children, teens and adults to sign up (it helps the library!). Keep track of the number of pages you read and report it daily (or as often as you wish). Our goal this summer is to read 314,000 pages as a community. After we do that you will get to see Martsje and Sarah in a dunk tank at our summer reading celebration on August 7 and have a chance to dunk them! A Calendar of Events for the week of May 31. Here are a couple highlights for this week...
*Summer Reading registration starts on Monday - children, teens and adults are encouraged to sign up
*The Summer Reading Kickoff is on Saturday from 10:30a - 12:30p and includes a special program with The Museum of the Earth at 11am. Also, there will be dirt cup snacks (while supplies last) and make your own flat dino to take on reading adventures this summer.

Did you check out the poetry reading at the library today? If you missed it, you now have a chance to work on your own poetry with Cortland County Poet Laureate Phil Asaph and local poet Raven Magill. They will be at the library on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 10-11am. Bring your own poem for them to look at or write one on the spot! The dates are June 20, July 18 and August 15. Our Summer Reading Kickoff is one week from today! Stop in on Saturday, June between 10:30am - 12:30 pm for some summer reading fun. The Museum of the Earth will be here at 11 am with a hands-on presentation with fossils, mammoth and mastodon facts and more!
We will also have make-your-own dirt cup snacks and make your own flat dino to take on all your summer reading adventures!
All school age (and younger) visitors will receive a free book too!
