..FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Michigan,
including the following counties, in south central Michigan,
Calhoun, Eaton, Ingham and Jackson. In southwest Michigan,
Allegan, Barry, Kalamazoo and Van Buren.

* WHEN...From this afternoon through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Heavy rain may result in flooding of creeks, streams,
and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- There is a potential for 2 to 4 inches of rain, locally up to
5 inches, to fall in portions of the watch area from mid
afternoon into the evening.

Drivers should expect short, intermittent delays tomorrow, Wednesday, June 17th on M-60 at the intersection of 25 1/2 Mile Rd/Webster St in the Village of Homer due to bridge beam delivery for the 25 1/2 Mile Rd bridge replacement project. Please exercise caution while traveling in this area.

Scattered thunderstorms are developing across southwest lower
Michigan this afternoon. Several storms will be capable of small
hail and winds in excess of 40 mph over the next few hours into the
evening. A few storms may become severe with winds to 60 mph and
hail to 1 inch in diamater. Remain aware of weather conditions and
seek shelter as storms approach.

Here is the Radar Update for this evening. A line of potentially severe storms will reach the Lakeshore of West Michigan around 8:30 PM; That line should reach the US 131 corridor including Grand Rapids around 9:05 PM and reach the US 127 corridor including Lansing around 10 PM. Damaging winds, Frequent Lightning and tornadoes will be possible with these storms.
