Tonight is my last meeting as Homer Township Trustee. Wishing everybody a happy, healthy, safe holiday season, and all the best in 2026. I am taking this site down soon.

My term as Homer Township Trustee comes to an end on December 31, 2025. New Trustees will be Rob Bloom, Claude (Red) Doering, and Bryan Rose. I will take down the Friends of Thomas Sigel page the first week of January.

Homer Township Residents- Meet the Candidates Night- Tuesday, October 7 at 7 pm at the Homerville Community Center. Meet the incoming Homer Township Trustees (all running unopposed) and candidates for the Black River School Board. Come with questions and concerns about your community. FYI- I am stepping down at the end of the year.

Homer Township will host a Health and Safety Day on June 28 from 9 am until 1 pm at the Homerville Community Center,8964 Spencer Road, Homerville, Ohio 44235. The event is free and open to the public. The Medina County Health Department will offer blood pressure checks, CPR demonstrations, and dietician consultations. The Medina County Sheriff’s Department will have a patrol car available to explore, and the Towne and Country Fire Department will showcase a firetruck. Job and Family Services will highlight their services, including foster care and adoption. Other participating agencies include Community Action and the Office of Older Adults. Bring the entire family for a fun and informative event. For more information, call 330-635-5163.

Homer Township Residents! There is an immediate opening for Homer Township Trustee due to the resignation of Jeremy Simcox. Any interested party, please send a letter as to why you want to be a trustee, along with a resume to [email protected] by April 11. The term will run through the end of the year. Interested candidates must file with the Medina County Board of Elections in August to be on the November ballot. Email with questions and your phone number and I will call you with more details. We must have a person in place by the April 28 board meeting.
