๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ No One Does More For Veterans...Right Here in South Florida! ๐Ÿซก

Why does the Arrant-Smith VFW Post 4127 exist? Itโ€™s simple: because the bond of service doesnโ€™t end when the uniform comes off.

For generations, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) has stood as a beacon of support, advocacy, and camaraderie for those who stepped up for our country. Here at "The Friendly Post" in Homestead, we continue that mission every single day. We are dedicated to honoring our veterans, supporting military families, and strengthening our local community from Miami-Dade down through the Upper Keys.

But we cannot do it alone. To keep our mission thriving and expand our community fellowship, we need your help.

Members: If you served overseas in a foreign conflict, your leadership and shared experiences are needed here. Find your new mission with us.

Volunteers: Got time or a specific skill? Help us organize social gatherings, assist local veterans, and keep our post strong.

Sponsors & Donors: Your generous community support funds essential member activities, youth programs, and local veteran outreach.

Whether you are a veteran, a family member, or a patriotic neighbor who wants to give back, there is a place for you in our mission of community fellowship.

This Flag Day, members of our local veteran community gathered for a solemn and necessary tradition, a formal flag retirement ceremony.

When an American flag becomes worn, faded, or torn, the U.S. Flag Code mandates that it be retired in a dignified manner, preferably by burning.

It was a privilege to properly retire these symbols of our nationโ€™s freedom with the respect they deserve.

A massive thank you to the key players who organized and executed todayโ€™s ceremony:
Justin Karalfa, VFW Post 4127 Commander
Jose Chirinos, VFW Post 4127 Senior Vice Commander
Bill Cook, VFW Post 4127 Trustee
Jason Nimark, American Legion Post 43 Commander

We also want to extend a huge shoutout and thank you to Texas Roadhouse for stepping up to sponsor the event and supplying an incredible, delicious meal for everyone in attendance. John G. Salley American Legion POST 43 represented big with a massive show-out with their membership. Thanks, to South Dade News Leader for showing up to support! I can't forget all of the citizens who supported Americanism by dropping off their flags at the post!

Your support for our veterans and community means the world to us!

Did you know? Flag Day commemorates June 14, 1777, when the Second Continental Congress officially adopted the Stars and Stripes as the official flag of the United States. Today, we keep that history alive by ensuring no flag is forgotten or improperly discarded.
