We are proud to highlight MAC CCP student Jocelyn Mayorga (10th grade, SDSH)! ✨ She recently completed the Credit Union Professional and Educational Development (CUPED) program with EdFed, which ties in perfectly with her business magnet studies 📚💼. Her graduation was held at the MDC Kendall Campus, GO SHARKS! 🦈

Jocelyn was recognized as one of the program’s top achieving students, one of only two to receive the gold cord 🥇She also earned a blue cord for her attendance and service throughout the program 💙 Along the way, she gained hands on experience as a bank teller , built skills in financial literacy, marketing, and public speaking , earned her bank teller certification , and completed 75 community service hours through EdFed activities 🤝

​The MAC College & Career Prep program is looking for a Program Specialist to join the team! If you’re passionate about student success, mentorship, and helping families navigate the path to higher education and career goals, this is for you.

​You’ll be on the ground at school sites, leading workshops, planning field trips, and connecting students with the resources they need to thrive.

This week two of our College and Career Prep participants graduated from the Build Up program at

Created by professor Dr. Michael Morris, the Build Up program is Miami's version of the Urban Poverty and Business Initiative that works with over 3,000 entrepreneurs annually. UPBI helps over 1,000 ventures a year reach financial stability.

Our two high schoolers, Giselle and Walter, learned alongside a cohort of small business owners how to take their business ideas to the next level. Giselle aims to launch her own bakery .sweets6 and Walter wants to take his family's nursery to new heights.
