We are deeply saddened to announce that our beloved Hometown Senior Center member Pam Swanson transitioned to eternal peace on June 13, 2026, following complications from heart surgery. Pam was a shining star and active member who generously shared her remarkable talents and loving warmth with everyone at the center. Her radiant smile will be deeply missed. We extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to her family and friends, celebrating her extraordinary life and legacy.

Mrs. Pamela Sue “Pam” Swanson, 74, of Poca, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at CAMC Memorial Division.
Pam was a 1970 graduate of Poca High School and was retired from Mt. Carmel East and St. Ann’s Hospitals in Columbus, Ohio. She was a faithful member of Riverside Baptist Church and Hometown Senior Citizens. Pam enjoyed volunteering at the Hometown Senior Center, making baskets, canning, and traveling with her family. Above all, she cherished time spent with her loved ones, especially her two grandchildren, who brought her great joy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert H. Swanson; her parents, Clyde and Earldine Ingram; and her brother, Steve Ingram.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Mark (Bethany) Swanson and Rachel (Lisa) Brittle; her treasured grandchildren, Jase and Harper; her siblings, Randy (Kathy) Ingram, Mike Ingram, Rodney Ingram, Donna Ingram, Regina Leiva, and Tim (Cindy) Ingram; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of the CAMC Memorial ICU for the compassionate and exceptional care provided to Pam during her time there.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hometown Senior Center, 40 First Avenue, Hometown, WV 25109.
A tribute to the life of Mrs. Pamela Swanson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael Hanna officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pam will be remembered for her kindness, servant’s heart, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family. Her legacy will live on in the many lives she touched and in the cherished memories shared by those who knew and loved her.
