Two years ago this sweet pumpkin and her three babies and brother were dumped at AAAS - Alabama Animal Adoption Society at night, when no one was there. I don’t remember exact details of the whole thing but believe the kitty who was soon called Penny had gotten one of her babies out of the box somebody had taped them in, and was hiding behind the cement stairs in the back (famous chicken leg pose and all). Thankfully the wonderful people at AAAS got to them in time and put them inside and little teenage mama Penny and her babies and her brother Pete thrived. Pete still needs a home! But this sweet girl found one thanks to matchmaking by Kirsten Borglum. That must’ve been a scary night for Penny and Pete and the babes. She warms our heart every day. Oliver is so glad y’all found her. Thank you Kirsten and the others at AAAS! ☮️💟🐾

UPDATE: Max is going to his vet on Friday for a follow up visit. His mom and I have been talking and they want Max to stay with them!! They are going to first try the change in diet for him.
ALL the money that has been raised will go to pay on the vet bill to help his mom and dad!
Max wanted you all to know he is GRATEFUL and asked that Sugarbelle Foundation do updates on his behalf. He said typing is too hard on his paws. :)

Hoover, AL: MEET MAX
Hi everyone. My name is Max. I am about 8 years old and well... I need a new home. My mommy and daddy had to take me to the ER last night and the vet said I have diabetes and am stressed. Well of course I am stressed, they just brought this little non-furry thing into the home!! It makes lots of noise and it makes me stressed. I mean, it is cute and all.... but... So, my mom and dad are really concerned and want me to find a home where I won't be stressed. The nice lady at Sugarbelle Foundation is talking with them about how to help me while I find a new home. She said that she would help raise some funds!
I am a really sweet kitty. If you would like to foster or adopt me, please contact [email protected]
THANKS SO MUCH!! And share this too!!
Thanks, Max

My original name was Baby, but I was named Keiko because it means "happy child" in Japanese. My foster mom says I am always happy to see her, making biscuits, asking to be picked up. I have some favorite toys, and love other kitties. Keiko has beautiful black and brown stripes in his fur. I would do best in a home with other kitties.

Daffodil was found as a stray. Her foster has had her spayed, and she tested negative for heartworms. Daffodill is a mixed breed: shepherd/pointer. She is young, about a year old and weighs 35-40 lbs. She is afraid of men and will do better in home with another dominant male dog. Very smart dog.
If you are interested in Daffodil please visit our website: www.animaladoption.org and fill out an application. Please email the application to [email protected].

Hi, I'm still looking for female white kitten 8 weeks old with a bit orange or grey touch in Birmingham Hoover Tuscaloosa area
Please share this stolen dog flier with anyone & everyone who's an animal lover, works or volunteers in any animal shelters, rescues, pet-related companies or non-profit corporations. We would greatly appreciate it. All we want our best friend back home. She was stolen from Porter Ranch CA on February 3, 2016. It's been over 3 years since she was stolen & we still cry for her. We haven't given up on finding her & never will. Whoever took Sunny ripped our hearts out when they took her. It's like trying to breathe without any lungs. Sunny meant the world to us & all we want is Sunny back home. We been putting up big bright neon colored full size posters all over the San Fernando Valley since she was stolen. We've even done some banners on fences. We've also been posting, emailing, snail mailing, & hand delivering fliers to animal shelters, rescues, non-profit corporations, & pet related companies in Southern California since she was stolen. We've done everything that's been suggested & we've not had even one sighting of a chihuahua mix of her size. So now we're emailing & posting her flier to animal shelters & rescues all across the United States. Sunny's a spayed female italian Greyhound/Chihuahua/Shiba Inu Mix dog. She's my teenage son's ESA dog. She’s gold with cream chest, underside, paws & the tip of her tail. She looks like a little fox; she has a large chest like Italian greyhound's, the curly tail that shiba inu's have & the big erect ears like chihuahua's can have. Sunny's shiba inu size; about 14 in. tall & 15 lbs. She had a cherry eye when she was stolen, which is a disorder of the third eyelid which causes the gland to prolapse and protrude from the eye as a red fleshy mass. However, whoever has Sunny could have had the cherry eye removed by now, so she may or may not still have the cherry eye. Please help us find Sunny & get her back home where she belongs. We will NEVER give up on finding our Sunnygirl. Thank you, Miranda 818-671-8583 [email protected] http://www.facebook.com/helpmefindmysunnygirl
Thanks Bham now for the shout out, and for helping promote spay/neuter.

Our sweet girl slipped out our apartment door at the Spring Street Flats (across from Avondale Park in Birmingham) on Friday (24 November) night. She is an indoor cat and is very kind and loving. She is our world and we are offering a reward. It would be greatly appreciated if you could keep an eye out and help make our family whole again. If sighted or found, please contact: (832) 978-7763 or [email protected] Thank you!
Hi, I'm considering starting a transport company specializing in large breeds, as well as those deemed "aggressive". I've also been told of a difficulty finding transport for rescued pigs. I'd like to get some ideas on the need. Also, I'm considering doing it as a non profit. Any feedback would be appreciated!
Can this group help? There is a person who has a young female chocolate lab they have found and no owner has responded to all the efforts to reunite dog with family. Now the person has in house dog conflict between their own two chihuahua dogs and the newbie and needs to find a rescue ASAP. The Good Samaritan has paid for vet visits, had the dog tested for heartworm (negative) and paid for the dog to be spayed. Now running out of money and time since the yard can't be inhabited by all 3 dogs without a potential scuffle and the lab is needing to be left outside all day while the human is at work. Help?
Hope things are well. I have a request that I would greatly appreciate if you could help me with. I recently rescued two (2) dogs from lives of abuse and all the procedures and surgeries are done with the exception of one. I have spent well over $10-15,000 to get them healthy but it's taking more. Would you kindly post this for me wherever possible, on social media and perhaps at your facility. Please spread as far and wide as possible as a personal favour to me. Please read Mercy's story so you will better understand the circumstances. Thank You!
