Tri-Town Radio Amateur Club The Tri-Town Radio Amateur Club is located in South Suburban Chicago. Our club meets on the 4th Friday of each month. Know-it-Alls and Elmers!

The Tri-Town Radio Amateur Club, a general-interest ham radio club, was organized in 1931 and is one of the oldest ham radio clubs in Illinois. We have many active members who participate in a variety of activities including CW, SSB, FT8, Satellite, packet, PSK / RTTY, and DX'ing. We have DX'ers, Contesters, Rag Chewers, working stiffs, and Retired Old Farts! Just what every Club should have! You

can find our members on almost every band in almost every mode. We run a variety of nets from 160 thru 2 meters. Our club meets the 4th Friday of every month at the Hazel Crest Village Hall 170th and Holmes (near 175th & Kedzie). Come on out and bring a Friend!

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the W9DXCC 2026 convention expects to have more than $10,000 in prizes. Some of them can be seen at this link.

If you haven't registered already, please do so soon. Online registration remains open until 11:59 PM CDT, Monday, Sept. 7. Advance registration is highly encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Walk-in admission is $5 higher for the Saturday convention and electronic payments will not be accepted at the door. The 73rd convention is Sept. 11-12 at the Marriott in Naperville, Illinois.

On Friday, a single track of DX and contesting topics will be offered in a classroom-like setting. The daylong session on Saturday will feature speakers, exhibits, and QSL card checking, as well as an evening reception and banquet. Several reports on the AMSAT status page show the cross-band voice repeater is back online after this week's outage.
Listen to the voice repeater on 437.800 MHz and transmit on 145.900 MHz (CTCSS 67 Hz). More frequencies in the graphic. And don't forget about Doppler shift!
