Week 2 of Adventure Begins at Hominy Public Library is in the books. 35 kids, 11 adults, 4 in the afternoon. We heard books read by Fireman Frank Stokes, made patriotic hedgehogs, and created floating sharks and flamingos to race down the tube and around the pool! Afternoon kids played giant engagement and other games and had snowcones. Summer is fun at the library. Enjoy the 4th and join us at City Hall on July 11th for the Mad Scientist Show at 11 a.m.

Our first day of Adventure Begins at Hominy Public Library was a great success. We had a local author, John L. Wilson, read his book "The Adventures of Blanco & Blanca in Santa's Passport. He also gifted each group a copy of the book. The groups created assorted animal magnets and visited animals from Friendly Farms Mobile Petting Zoo. Attendance was 70 plus kids and 20 adults. Hope to see you all tomorrow June 27 at 11 a.m. for more stories, fun crafts and adventures. Julius Swain was our only middle school level participant, but he solved the geo cache hunt and went home with a treasure chest full of gold coins (and a snowcone).Come on down to the Hominy Public Library for summer fun.
